About Simpson Weather Associates

Established in 1974 and incorporated in 1980, SWA was founded to address fundamental and applied problems in meteorology. Our environmental consulting practice has since expanded to include airborne- and space-based Doppler wind lidar applications, air quality modeling and monitoring, fugitive emissions control, and specialized field measurements, software integration, and instrumentation development.

Our core scientists are augmented by highly experienced affiliated associates called upon for specific problems, and a full-time technical and support staff is periodically expanded with part-time staff drawn from the University of Virginia community.
